dc.description.abstract | The paper seeks to find out what drives the Botswana-China relations. In addition, it also explains the current status of relations between the two. To achieve these objectives a qualitative desktop research was carried out; data from both governments as well as other secondary sources (journals, textbooks, newspaper articles) were used. The findings demonstrated that the individual decision maker operating in a changed domestic and international environment has reoriented some aspects of Botswana’s foreign policy towards China. This is because as proven, decision makers do not exist in a vacuum and hence factors in their environment will play a part in their decision-making process. | en_US |
